Over more than 30 years I've served as a five-time VC/PE-funded CEO and two-time Fortune 100 executive, and I've participated in over $11 billion in exits, including Concur's sale to SAP, Platinum's sale to Computer Associates, Cybertrust's sale to Verizon, and MIPS' IPO and later sale to Silicon Graphics.
It started when I bootstrapped my first software company, AIB Software, in my mid-20s and sold it four years later for 100x my cash investment and a 10x return for my investors.
